The Portuguese capital has a fascinating history – as the oldest city in Western Europe, Lisbon is a big enough player on the world stage to be an exciting and vibrant place to be, but small enough to be a friendly and welcoming destination for a short trip.

Discover the city’s museums and monuments. From historic places to the most recent museum and architecture projects, there is much to see in a city which is constantly reinventing itself. On an optional day trip to the beautiful town Sintra you can also get a good taste of the fascinating surroundings of Lisbon.

Strategically located only a few minutes away from the historical centre and from Lisbon’s International Airport, the VIP Executive Zurique Hotel has 252 rooms that represent the essence of convenience and comfort.

This 3 star Hotel has leisure areas, like a cosy and comfortable bar, an exterior swimming pool (seasonal from May to September) and also the “O Infante” restaurant, with natural light and capacity for 120 people, where typical Portuguese and international meals are served.

You will receive a road-map with daily suggestions but we recommend to take a look at our optional tours to fill your days with more guided discoveries.

Day 1:

Arrive at Lisbon airport. Transfer from Lisbon Airport to the Hotel.

Welcome dinner at the Hotel.

Overnight stay at the VIP Executive Zurique Hotel 3*.

Day 2:

Morning suggestion: In the morning a walking tour at “Baixa” of Lisboa, the downtown. You will start feeling the city, its people, ambiance, smell, colours, light, it’s a “say hello Lisboa”.

During the afternoon, our tuk-tuk picks you up at the hotel and will take you on a 3 hour journey through time and history of Lisbon but also today’s life. You will visit all the most important and beautiful old and typical neighbourhoods with excellent views of the city (great spots to take pictures to remember later). Visit the Jeronimos Monastery, the Pastéis de Belém, the route by the River Tejo. All these monuments represent the “golden age” of the Portuguese Discoveries, which began in the XV century.

Continue the visit through the main squares of Lisbon, ending at the Avenida de Liberdade for dinner at the restaurant Rubro Avenida.

The restaurant Rubro Avenida is situated on one of the most famous avenues in Lisbon, Av. Da Liberdade. It’s a modern and contemporary space to serve the famous tapas. It has a good wine list, with wine by the glass. With 68 seats, montaditos are served in a tavern environment. Highlights are the broken eggs, the puntilla chips and the chocolate cake.

Transportation to the hotel not included.

Day 3:

Day at leisure. Discover the city and surroundings at your own pace.

As an optional, we suggest a day trip to Sintra, a Unesco World Asset. Once in Sintra, visit to the picturesque village with its old Palace (known mainly by the twin chimneys), dating from 14th century. It has been the summer residence of the Royal Family. Time at leisure to discover the hidden places of this beautiful town.

Stop for a Colares wine tasting (OPTIONAL)- a very distinct and rare wine, produced in small quantities and faithful to the most traditional way of making wine.

Lunch at the wonderful Restaurant Regional de Sintra – a typical Portuguese restaurant with good traditional cuisine.

On this optional trip you will pass by the Roca Cape, the most western point of continental Europe, to enjoy the contrast of  the landscape from the cliffs to the ocean! Returning to Lisbon by the coastal road through Guincho and its wild beaches, as well as Cascais and Estoril.

In the evening we will have dinner at Leão Douro. Located at the Rossio square, the Leão Douro is a very pleasent restaurant  in one of the most carismatic squares of Lisbon.

For the evening we suggest a night walk to the night life and bars.
