The Portuguese capital has a fascinating history – as the oldest city in Western Europe, Lisbon is a big enough player on the world stage to be an exciting and vibrant place to be, but small enough to be a friendly and welcoming destination for a short trip.

Discover the city’s museums and monuments. From historic places to the most recent museum and architecture projects, there is much to see in a city which is constantly reinventing itself. On a day trip to the beautiful town Sintra you will also get a good taste of the fascinating surroundings of Lisbon.

You will stay, depending on your preference, in the 4-star hotel SANA Metropolitan (or similar) or in the 5-star hotel Pousada Pestana (or similar).

Day 1:

Arrive at Lisbon Airport. Transfer from Lisbon Airport to the hotel.

In the afternoon an electric Tuk-Tuk will pick you up from the hotel to take you on a trip to S. Jorge Castle with a sunset drink to enjoy the most beautiful view of the city.

Dinner at the Castle restaurant “Casa do Leão” facing the city and the river. Return to the hotel with the Tuk-Tuk.

Overnight stay at either 4* or 5* hotel, depending on your preference.

Note: each tuk-tuk driver is also a guide which is providing touristic and historical information during the trip, however you will be escorted by Best Season Official Guide.

Day 2:

Morning suggestion: In the morning a walking tour at “Baixa” of Lisboa, the downtown. You will start feeling the city, its people, ambiance, smell, colours, light, it’s a “say hello Lisboa”.

Lunch at leisure.

During the afternoon, our tuk-tuk picks you up at the hotel and will take you on a 3 hour journey through time and history of Lisbon but also today’s life. You will visit all the most important and beautiful old and typical neighbourhoods with excellent views of the city (great spots to take pictures to remember later). Visit the Jeronimos Monastery, the Pastéis de Belém, the route by the River Tejo. All these monuments represent the “golden age” of the Portuguese Discoveries, which began in the XV century. In Alfama, the old neighbourhood, we’ll also do a walking tour through the narrow moor style streets. This is a breath-taking journey.

Afterwards we return to the hotel for a clothes change to be transferred to a trendy restaurant for dinner and afterwards back to the hotel.

Note: each tuk-tuk driver is also a guide which is providing touristic and historical information during the trip, however you will be escorted by Best Season Official Guide.

Day 3:

Today you will have a day on leisure to explore the city at your own pace. We recommend to see the car museum (Museu dos Coches), the MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology) and the Musueum of Ancient Arts which are all located close to each other.

We recommend also a trip to the Oceonario, the largest indoor aquarium in Europe, in the Expo area of Lisbon.

We are providing a road-map for you with the recommended sights on this day.

The dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 4:

Pick up at the hotel and departure to Sintra. Sintra is known for its many 19th-century Romantic architectural monuments, which has resulted in its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Although its heritage in buildings and nature is the most visible face of the historic individuality of Sintra, a whole literary heritage has made the area a legendary reference in Portuguese culture.

We will take the bus to visit the Pena Palace.

Afterwards, we will discover the village of Sintra on horse-drawn carriages.

As an option, you can also go to Quinta da Regaleira on horse-drawn carriages.

Our bus will then bring us to Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais, Monserrate and Colares. We will also stop by at Cabo da Roca, the most southwestern point of continental Europe. On our way back to Lisbon we will pass by Guincho’s wild beaches, a world famous surf spot, and the coastal towns Cascais and Estoril, all along a coastal road.

Dinner at leisure.

Afterwards we will go on a night walk to the night life and bars.
